During the summer of 2019, we introduced you to our team members through some fun questions so you could get to know them better.
As we usher in the new year, we have 2 new team members to introduce you to! The first is Stacey Jans. She recently celebrated her one-year anniversary of working with RSA, and we’re excited for you to get to know her!
What is your favorite architectural style?
I am learning a lot about architecture, being I’m relatively new at RSA, but I do enjoy the look of Greek Revival Architecture.
What is your favorite memory at RSA so far?
The RSA staff recently volunteered at Feeding South Dakota. Filling backpacks for local children was my favorite part of the experience.
Describe RSA in one word:
Trusted.
What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
I love to be outside; it doesn’t matter what time of the year it is! It could be swimming with our 3 kids, doing yard work, shoveling snow or enjoying a walk.
What is your latest adventure?
Maybe not a latest adventure but definitely a memorable one was several years ago. We were in Rhode Island with Brian’s side of the family when a hurricane was to be hitting land. The airport shut down so 13 of us decided to rent a van to drive home. It was a 12 passenger van with 13 people and their luggage, driving nonstop for 26 hours. It was an adventure, and a memory, and I’d still do it all over again…I think.
What is your favorite comfort food?
Pizza! I could eat pizza several times a week and not be tired of it.
What is your favorite place in South Dakota?
White River, SD – My husband’s uncle has a ranch there and it is the most peaceful, beautiful, relaxing place to be. Our whole family jumps at any chance to spend a few days there. Just being there puts you in a good mood and the scenery never gets old.
Which team do you always cheer for?
My kids’ sports team, whatever season or child that may be! I’ve never had a professional team that I’ve followed for any sport so lucky for Brian, I cheer for whoever he is rooting for when it comes to a professional team.
What TV show could you binge on all weekend?
Yellowstone, A Million Little Things, and This Is Us
What is something people might find surprising about you?
My mom once accidently waxed my whole eyebrow off when she put the wax strip on the wrong way. Fun fact, your whole eyebrow will in fact grow back, given time!
