Architect earns President’s Award

2 weeks ago, AIA South Dakota brought together architects from across the state for a two-day conference in Sioux Falls.  The conference hosted speakers presenting on a variety of topics from Trauma Informed Design to Skateparks.  Architects earned continuing education credits while gaining valuable insight from the speakers.

The conference also consisted of the annual Design Awards.  We are proud to announce that our very own Justin Oleson, AIA, earned a President’s Award for his work advancing AIA South Dakota’s Emerging Professionals group!  Justin has been a board member of AIA for the past 2 years, and helped revitalize the Emerging Professionals group by serving on the committee.  In addition to this honor, Justin has also been appointed to the position of Secretary/Treasurer of the AIA South Dakota Board for 2022-2023.

While we have no official awards to prove it, we benefit greatly from Justin’s excellent leadership within the RSA office.  Justin has proven his abilities of working with emerging professionals in and outside of the office.  Over the past few years — since Justin’s promotion to Vice President — the RSA office has grown from five employees to nine, with future expansion on the horizon.

Congratulations, Justin, and thank you for all your hard work!
